Stacy: Day 2 - Fatima P1

Camino de Santiago Sep 24, 2023

Arriving at the Porto Aeroporta(FINALLY), we immediately got a taxi to take us to the Bus Station to hitch a 2 hour ride to Fatima! We had gotten very little sleep (3 hours for both my sis and I? Our parents got more, though.), and very little food, but we walked around.

Honestly, I can't tell you the names of the chapels and churches here (Fatima). There are three of them on the main premises, with the farthest two about half a mile apart. Funny thing: we've been here two days, and we haven't even made it inside the churches! (I am writing this post a day behind...) There's so much to do here.

Really, we just walked aroun the main Churches (outside), attended a Rosary in Portuguese, ate like the Europeans (at 9pm), and then slept SOLIDLY that night.

Sorry there's not much substance to my posts, yet. I adore Our Lady, but Fatima has never really been on my religious radar. I think Our Lady of Lourdes is my favorite.
