Abby: Day 9 A Day Full of TNT

SA2SOS Jul 28, 2015

Today was truly an explosive day! With tents(tent rocks), nuclear, and turquoise , plus a dinner at a restaurant with chile in everything.

First we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at our hotel. From there we headed to Kasha-Katuwe    Tent Rocks National Monument. We hiked a trail in the blistering heat. I drank my whole water bottle in 10 minutes, and I HATE water! Then we went to The Atomic City That Didn't Exist, Los Alamos. While we were there we visited the Bradbury Science Museum, got a cache, and visited a gift shop. Then we headed out for Santa Fe! In the Santa Fe, we went to the Capitol building, the Cathedral Basilica of St.Francis of Assisi, the Santa Fe Plaza, and Casa Chimayón Restaurante. At the plaza we all got matching turquoise pendants from a Native American woman who was very kind. We made a stop at the building where people used to get passes to go onto Los Alamos property. As we were heading to dinner at Casa Chimayón Restaurante it started to rain on us. It just happened to be in the spot with no overhangs. The food was great, especially the dessert! ; D Then we got a cache, got back in the car, and got gas. Then we were on the road. Back at the hotel, the room is quiet because we are all exhausted from a long day. Write more tomorrow!
